"Riverdale" is still straddling the line between full-on teen drama and "Glee"-esque musical with the upcoming episode "Chapter Six: Faster, Pussycats! Kill! Kill!". The CW has released two new clips from the episode, both of which feature tons of singing from Josie and The Pussycats (and Veronica).

The first clip has the Pussycats (Ashleigh Murray, Hayley Law, Asha Bromfield) and Veronica (Camila Mendes) singing the classic Donna Summer disco track "I Feel Love." The second features Archie (K.J. Apa) and Valerie (Law) singing an original song, "I Got You." Since Archie is a songwriter, it may be something he wrote with Valerie's help.

From those clips alone, it appears we're in for not just a musical-heavy episode, but also a love-heavy episode. More specifically, we're in for an episode setting up both Archie and Valerie's romance and Veronica's possible jealousy. Seeing how Valerie and Archie were canonically together in the comics in recent years, it's fun to see the show actually pursue that storyline. Out of all of the canonical elements to play with, it's surprising to see how closely they're following this new addition to the "Archie" lore.

There are some other things these clips tease, such as the simmering romance between Archie's dad Fred (Luke Perry) and Veronica's mom Hermione (Marisol Nichols), and Mayor Sierra McCoy (Robin Givens) sitting in the audience with someone who could be Josie's dad. There's also someone who appears to be Kevin Keller (Casey Cott) jamming out in the background as Josie and the Pussycats perform. Additionally, there's the question of why Veronica is even performing with the Pussycats in the first place. As to how all of this fits together, we'll have to wait and see when the episode airs this Thursday, March 2.

"Riverdale" is The CW and Archie Comics' updated retelling of classic Archie Comics characters -- but this time, things are much darker, more brooding and much more soapy. At the center of "Riverdale" is the mystery of Jason Blossom's death, the twin brother of high school queen bee Cheryl Blossom (Madelaine Petsch). "Riverdale" airs Thursdays at 9 pm EST on The CW.
