Riverdale Billboard Leaves Archie's Innocence Behind

A little bit of "Riverdale" has arrived in Lost Angeles. The official Archie Comics Twitter unveiled the first billboard for the upcoming CW drama, which was erected on Sunset Blvd.

The billboard features the tagline "Leave Your Innocence Behind" as Archie looks to the horizon. The tagline hits close to home, as the new series finds these beloved comic characters in a darker, "Twin Peaks" -style setting.

As a new school year in Riverdale begins, the town deals with the tragic death of Jason Blossom. Even so, all-American teenager Archie is dead set on pursuing a music career, even after ending his forbidden relationship with Ms. Grundy, the school's young music teacher. The series will see Archie favorites like Jughead, Veronica Lodge, Betty Cooper and more deal with love, loss, family and high school.

Starring K.J. Apa as Archie Andrews, "Riverdale" will debut Thursday, January 26 at 9 pm on The CW. The series also stars Cole Sprouse as Jughead Jones, Camila Mendes as Veronica Lodge, Lili Reinhart as Betty Cooper, Ross Butler as Reggie Mantle and more.
