Riverdale has had its main characters face dark, sinister truths about their respective families for the entire series, and things about to escalate in an upcoming Season 4 episode.

Titled "Chapter Sixty-Three: Hereditary," Archie Andrews continues to face his new nemesis Dodger, while keeping him from being a bad influence on the neighborhood. Meanwhile, Betty Cooper and Veronica Lodge each face very different problems at home. The official episode synopsis from The CW is below.

UNEXPECTED VISITORS — As Archie (KJ Apa) struggles to keep the neighborhood kids away from Dodger’s (guest star Juan Riedinger) influence, he turns to an unexpected ally for help. Jughead (Cole Sprouse) uncovers a mystery surrounding the author of the Baxter Brothers books, while Betty (Lili Reinhart) confronts Charles (guest star Wyatt Nash) about his past. Finally, Veronica (Camila Mendes) deals with a major shake-up at home, and Cheryl (Madelaine Petsch) and Toni (Vanessa Morgan) get some unexpected visitors at Thistlehouse. Marisol Nichols, Madchen Amick, Mark Consuelos, Casey Cott, Skeet Ulrich and Charles Melton also star. Gabriel Correa directed the episode written by James DeWille (#406.) Betty's brother first surfaced in Season 2, suspected of being responsible for a string of murders before being blackmailed out of town. In the interim, Season 4 begun with Veronica's parents, Hiram and Hermoine, being arrested for their murderous crimes committed over the past couple of seasons. Meanwhile, Archie has struggled for guidance without the wisdom of his recently departed father, Fred Andrews. As his conflict with Dodger intensifies, Fred's absence will be felt now more than ever.
