Rihanna Drops 'Sledgehammer' Video, Reveals 'Star Trek' Fandom

After giving fans a tease of "Sledgehammer" in a trailer for "Star Trek Beyond" earlier this week, Rihanna has dropped the full-length music video for the song. The clip finds Rihanna, decked out in extraterrestrial garb, performing "Sledgehammer" to an audience of none on a barren wasteland of an alien planet. While the video is absent of clips from the Justin Lin-directed "Star Trek" film, it does feature the Enterprise zooming through space and crossing paths with the singer's celestial incarnation.

A new video has also been posted to the "Star Trek" Facebook page that features the multiple Grammy-award-winning singer revealing her longstanding love for the franchise.

Directed by Justin Lin and starring Chris Pine, Zachary Quinto, Karl Urban, Zoe Saldana, Simon Pegg, John Cho, Anton Yelchin, Idris Elba and more, "Star Trek Beyond" arrives in theaters on July 22.
