Ridley Scott's 'Alien: Covenant' Adds Four More Actors

As "Alien: Covenant" nears the start of production, the Ridley Scott film has added four more actors to its ensemble cast.

Deadline reports that Jussie Smollett ("Empire"), Amy Seimetz ("Upstream Color"), Carmen Ejogo ("Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them") and Callie Hernandez  ("La La Land") have signed on in unspecified roles.

They join "Promethus" alum Michael Fassbender and franchise newcomers Katherine Waterston, Demian Bichir and Danny McBride in the follow-up to the 2012 "Alien" prequel. It's unclear whether Noomi Rapace will reprise her "Prometheus" role.

"Alien: Covenant" is scheduled to premiere Oct. 6, 2017.
