A first look at Rick and Morty Season 4 was shown at Comic-Con International in San Diego 2019 during the show's panel.
The clip shows Jerry and his son Morty working to get an app created by Glootie, their intern, removed. Morty smashes a computer and shakes Glootie to try and get him to remove the app, the function of which is not specified in the clip. The alien tech genius then reveals he's created an "Ominous Beeping App," which he uses to try and escape, though he's unsuccessful in the endeavour. Glootie is voiced by Thor: Ragnarok director Taika Waititi.
First premiering in 2013, Rick and Morty has aired 31 episodes across three seasons, with fairly sizeable waits in between outings. The show has proven to be one of Adult Swim's most popular, gaining a strong, passionate following. The show itself follows the bizarre adventures of scientist Rick and his grandson Morty as they travel through time and space. Their exploits tend to have negative consequences for them and those they care about.
Created by Justin Roiland and Dan Harmon, Rick and Morty stars Justin Roiland, Sarah Chalke, Chris Parnell and Spencer Grammer. Season 4 will debut on Adult Swim in November 2019.
