The midseason premiere of Season 4 of Rick and Morty is fast approaching, and an image from the upcoming episode "Promortyus," an apparent parody of the 2012 film Prometheus, has just surfaced.

The image, which was released by IGN, depicts nods to both Prometheus and the Alien franchise, complete with Xenomorph eggs and anti-facehugger protective masks.

Adult Swim's description of the upcoming episode is short and simple: "Get off my face, broh."

The series has spoofed many popular movies over the past few seasons, including A Nightmare on Elm Street in the first season's "Lawnmower Dog," an episode in which it introduced the rather misunderstood Scary Terry, the show's version of classic horror villain Freddy Kreuger.

Rick and Morty was renewed in 2018 for 70 episodes. The show has been known for long waits between seasons, something co-creator Dan Harmon says is changing, with work already beginning on Season 5. Justin Roiland, Rick and Morty's other creator, is also working on another animated project with Hulu that premieres May 8th called Solar Opposites.

The second half of Season 4 premieres May 3rd on Adult Swim. Seasons 1 through 3 are available to stream on Hulu now.
