Knives Out's Benoit Blanc Is Back in Glass Onion

Written and directed by Johnson, Knives Out originally premiered in theaters in September 2019. The film follows detective Benoit Blanc (Daniel Craig) as he investigates the death of Harlan Thrombey (Christopher Plummer), a mystery novelist and the patriarch of a wealthy, dysfunctional family. In addition to Craig and Plummer, the film's star-studded cast included Chris Evans, Ana de Armas, Jamie Lee Curtis, Michael Shannon, Don Johnson, Toni Collette, Lakeith Stanfield, Katherine Langford and Jaeden Martell.

In March 2021, Netflix acquired the rights to two Knives Out sequels, with Johnson returning as writer-director and Craig attached to reprise his role as Benoit Blanc. Glass Onion, the first of these sequels, is currently slated to premiere on Netflix later this year on Friday, Dec. 23. The film finds Benoit in the middle of another whodunit.
