HBO released a clip from House of the Dragon Episode 6, "The Princess and the Queen," giving fans the first scene featuring Emma D'Arcy as Rhaenyra Targaryen.

The video, which can be viewed on HBO's official Twitter account, shows Laenor Valaryon, now played by John MacMillan, walk in on D'Arcy's Rhaenyra Targaryen after she has just given birth to their baby boy. Rhaenyra immediately walks out of her chambers, however, and makes Laenor follow her through a hall of lords and ladies. "She wants to see him," she says to her husband, but the clip does not reveal who they are bringing the baby to.

Episode 5 of House of the Dragon, titled "We Light the Way," showed Rhaenyra and Laenor wed one another. However, in classic Westerosi fashion, the feast which was meant to celebrate the union turned into a bloodbath when Sir Criston Cole brutally murdered Laenor's lover Joffrey Lonmouth. Sir Criston had been on edge ever since he broke his oath as a member of the Kingsguard and slept with Rhaenyra in Episode 4.

However, different actors portrayed the characters during the bloody wedding. Milly Alcock and Theo Nate portrayed a young Rhaenyra and Laenor respectively. Episode 6, which jumps approximately ten years into the future, required new actors to step into the roles. In her farewell Instagram post, breakout star Alcock wrote, "I love u all I love u I love this!" She then shared a series of behind-the-scenes photos from the show.

The title of Episode 6, "The Princess and the Queen," suggests that the woman Rhaenyra and Laenor are taking their baby to may be Queen Alicent. Daughter of former Hand of the King Otto Hightower (Rhys Ifans), the monarch made quite the entrance last episode when she walked into the throne room donning a green dress. As Larys Strong points out to his brother, the beacon on the Hightower glows green when Oldtown calls its banners to war. Akin to Rhaenyra, Alicent will also be played by a new actor in Episode 6, with Olivia Cooke set to replace Emily Carey.

New episodes of House of the Dragon premiere every Sunday on HBO and HBO Max.
