Whether you work or play from home -- or both -- a comfortable chair is a "must have" as part of your setup. Secretlab has set itself apart from the competition and, as a result, often tops the list of anyone shopping for a quality gaming chair. There's a reason for the prestige: Secretlab takes pride in what it does, as the company constantly tries to evolve the level of comfort it can achieve with its gaming chairs.

The company's TITAN Evo 2022 Series chair is an award-winner and has been in development for over two years. It's advertised as more comfortable, offering deeper personalization and exceptionally durable compared to its predecessors. The chair comes in three sizes -- Small, Regular and XL. Regular falls between the OMEGA 2020 and TITAN 2020 in terms of size. Small accommodates users up to 5'6" tall and weighing up to 200 lbs, while Regular is suitable for users between 5'7" and 6'2", weighing up to 220 lbs. The XL chair is best for people between 6'1" and 6'9" and supports up to 395 lbs.

The Naruto collaboration chairs come in Softweave™ Plus Fabric, a high-performance technical knit inspired by footwear. Constructed from interlacing loops of high-strength yarn fibers, Secretlabs advertises that the material is as soft as your favorite tee. It's soft, breathable and durable. Perhaps one of the best features of the TITAN Evo 2022 series is its 4-way L-ADAPT™ Lumbar Support system. The support system adapts to you, moving up, down, in and out to support the curve of your back.

Secretlab shipped the chair to me in its original epic Naruto-themed packaging. The box featured artwork of the chair design I received, including the Akatsuki's iconic cloud logo. Upon opening the package, a large poster featuring members of the Akatsuki clan greeted me -- I'm guessing the people who ordered the Naruto chair will receive a poster featuring the greatest Hokage of all time on it. I live in a multi-story building, and the package was heavy, so I unboxed everything and carried the parts upstairs individually.

Whoever packed the box did an excellent job, as each piece came wrapped and meticulously packed among foam pieces. The chair comes with all the necessary tools for assembly, which is great because I only have one set of IKEA screwdrivers at home. Although the chair is heavy, which I mentioned earlier, one person can quickly assemble it if they're determined enough. It took between 30 - 45 minutes to build the chair. Over the years, I've purchased and assembled many chairs in search of comfort. Not only was this the most straightforward chair to put together that I've ever bought, but everything appropriately aligned and worked the first time without making me doubt whether I was reading the instructions correctly.

The Naruto and Akatsuki designs are cool and eye-catching, especially the metal band from the hitai-ate headband on the back of the chairs. The magatamas and iconic orange colorway on the Naruto chair are appealing and unique. I also love the Hidden Leaf logo on the chair's back. However, the Akatsuki chair is more to my taste with its dark red and black colors and the infamous cloud logo's quilted pattern on the side wings. I also feel that the Akatsuki colors better complement my pink desk.

Secretlab sent me its Regular-sized chair, ideal for people up to 6'2" -- a foot taller than I am. So, the Small chair would likely be better suited for me based on size recommendations because my feet dangle when I sit back. But, despite the difference in size, I'm really comfortable and happy with the chair. Because both work and my hobbies require me to be at a computer, I sit a lot. Perhaps due to all the sitting I do, I occasionally experience incapacitating back pain. In the past, I purchased expensive office chairs and pillows in an attempt to circumvent the pain. However, since using the TITAN Evo 2022, my back pain has improved significantly. It's not a cure-all, but the difference is noticeable. I credit the chair's L-ADAPT™ Lumbar Support and the cold-cure foam, which Secretlab says it engineered for even weight distribution and maximum pressure relief. Additionally, the neck pillow is attached using magnets, so it doesn't take much effort to adjust it for maximum comfort. Thanks to all the TITAN Evo 2022's features, whether working or grinding in LifeAfter, I can do so in comfort and style.

Secretlab's TITAN Evo 2022 Naruto and Akatsuki edition chairs are out now and retail for $644. Buyers can purchase them directly from Secretlab's website. The estimated ship date for the chairs runs between mid-January and early February 2023. Secretlab provided CBR with a unit for review purposes.
