Star Wars: Return of the Jedi - Ewoks #1 promises "tales of the Ewoks" presented via the framing device of a group of the stout natives of the Forest Moon of Endor gathering "around the fire to recount tales of triumph, defeat... and horror!" Marvel explains that the anthology one-shot's "art-forward manner of storytelling" allows its "eclectic group of artists interpret the stories from the unique minds of Ewoks in a manner only they can envision!"

The Ewoks Are Back

As previously mentioned, the Ewoks were introduced to the galaxy far, far away in 1983's Return of the Jedi, the final film in the original Star Wars trilogy. They went on to star in their own Saturday morning cartoon, simply titled Ewoks, which aired on ABC for two seasons from 1985 to 1986. They also starred in a pair of live-action made-for-television movies, Caravan of Courage: An Ewok Adventure and Ewoks: The Battle for Endor, which premiered on ABC in 1984 and 1985, respectively. In 2019, the Ewoks briefly appeared in the film Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, marking their first big-screen appearance since Return of the Jedi hit cinemas 36 years prior.
