Milla Jovovich will reteam with director (and husband) Paul W.S. Anderson on Resident Evil: The Final Chapter beginning in August. However, there's one thing she has take care of first: giving birth.
In a Facebook post, the actress wrote about preparing for the birth of her second child in 10 weeks and staying healthy during the process, which will lead into filming of the video game-inspired sequel.
I'm really proud of myself for not gaining the same amount of weight that I did with our first child (75 lbs.) because I have to be ready to start filming "Resident Evil- The Final Chapter" in August of this year and I will also be nursing an infant simultaneously (get ready wardrobe department for Alice's new "easy mama access" costume;)) so I don't want to be on any extreme diets to get ready to go back to "action hero" mode!
Talk of Anderson and Jovovich reuniting for another Resident Evil film goes back to spring 2013. Last year, Anderson said he was working on the script and that, once he was done, they could focus on filming and setting a release date.
The previous entry, 2012's Resident Evil: Retribution, earned $240 million worldwide off of a reported $65 million budget. Jovovich has starred in all six chapters of the film franchise, while Anderson helmed the first, fourth, fifth and now sixth installments.
The Final Chapter, which is expected to see the return of Wentworth Miller's Chris Redfield from Resident Evil: Afterlife, hits theaters on Sept. 2, 2016.
