An eagle-eyed Resident Evil fan in Canada has captured footage of a local establishment that has been converted into Emmy's, the diner that featured during the beginning of Claire Redfield's campaign in 1998's Resident Evil 2, for the live-action reboot of the beloved franchise.Darien T. took the initial photo, with @BIOHAZARDcast sharing the footage on Twitter, highlighting how the establishment usually operates as Gus's Restaurant when it isn't standing in for a zombie-infested diner in Racoon City.RELATED: Resident Evil Was MEANT to Be 1st Person - Here's How It Would Have Changed Gameplay

Redfield stopped off at Emmy's after first arriving in Racoon City. Inside, she explored the deserted diner before discovering a zombie feasting on a customer. Her attempts to convince the zombie to leave her alone fall on dead ears. After making a desperate break for the exit, she found herself staring down the barrel of Leon S. Kennedy's gun. After Kennedy disposes of the zombie, they make a break for a police cruiser and speed away, kicking off her campaign and her introduction to Resident Evil 2's other main protagonist.

@BIOHAZARDcast also shared a behind-the-scenes look at Gun Shop Kendo from an unknown photographer, a location that featured in both Resident Evil 2 and Resident Evil 3. This photo, however, managed to capture a discreet Easter Egg: next to Gun Shop Kendo is some graffiti that reads "This Too Shall Pass!!!" a message that can also be found at the Basketball Court in Resident Evil 2.

The new Resident Evil movie intends to be an adaptation of the story and the long-running series origins, which began with the titular PlayStation classic in 1996. Its story will take place in 1998 across a single night, capturing the events of a zombie outbreak in Racoon City. Gotham's Donal Logue was recently announced as having joined the cast as Chief Irons, the head of Racoon City's police department.

The live-action Resident Evil movie is separate from the recently announced Netflix adaptations, which includes a live-action series and a CGI TV series, Resident Evil: Infinite Darkness. The live-action series will feature two separate timelines and follow different characters as they fight off the zombie plague in Racoon City.

The first timeline will follow two sisters who have just arrived in town at the worst possible time; the second will showcase a zombie-ravaged future where most of humanity is dead. Resident Evil: Infinite Darkness, meanwhile, will follow fan favorites and Resident Evil 2 protagonists, Leon S. Kennedy and Claire Redfield.

Written and directed by Johannes Robert, Resident Evil stars Kaya Scodelario as Claire Redfield, Hannah John-Kamen as Jill Valentine and Robbie Amell as Chris Redfield. The film also includes Tom Hopper, Avan Jogia, Neal McDonough, Donal Logue, Chris Rook and Lily Gao. Released by Constantin Films, the movie arrives in 2021.
