New images from the upcoming Resident Evil film reboot gave potential audiences a first look at an iconic setting, straight from the game.The @ROENetwork account on Twitter posted images from the set of the film, featuring a first look at the Spencer Mansion. The Spencer Mansion is central to the events of the first Resident Evil game. During the zombie outbreak, it becomes overrun with the undead-- forcing the game's heroes to fight for their own survival.RELATED: Resident Evil Set Photos Reveal Video Game Easter Eggs

The set photos also feature a helicopter belonging to S.T.A.R.S. (Special Tactics And Rescue Services). S.T.A.R.S. is an elite special forces unit created to help the Raccoon City Police Department who finds itself battling the undead. Chris Redfield and Jill Valentine are members of S.T.A.R.S., alongside future Resident Evil antagonist Albert Wesker.

The Resident Evil film is one of several media projects in the works based on the video game franchise. Netflix is developing a Resident Evil television series, as well as the Resident Evil: Infinite Darkness anime series. Infinite Darkness is set within the canon of the video games, following the Resident Evil: Vendetta animated film.

Written and directed by Johannes Robert, Resident Evil stars Kaya Scodelario as Claire Redfield, Hannah John-Kamen as Jill Valentine and Robbie Amell as Chris Redfield. The film also includes Tom Hopper, Avan Jogia, Neal McDonough, Donal Logue, Chris Rook and Lily Gao. Released by Constantin Films, the movie arrives in 2021.
