A Marvel Cinematic Universe alum will soon be traveling to Raccoon City according to a new rumor.

Illuminerdi reports that Ant-Man and the Wasp's Hannah-John Kamen has been offered the role of Jill Valentine in the upcoming Resident Evil reboot. Jill is described in the character breakdowns for the film as "a small-town girl" and a Raccoon City police officer who has a romantic entanglement with fellow officer Chris Redfield.

Other talent rumored to be attached to the project are Brenton Thwaites (Titans) and Kaya Scodelario (The Maze Runner), who have been approached for Redfield and his sister, Claire, respectively. The site also reports that a minor antagonist from the game, Chief Irons, will cameo in the film.

Based on the character descriptions and the general plot outline, the reboot looks to be hewing closer to the video games. The six previous films helmed by Paul W.S. Anderson and starring Milla Jovovich did take plot elements and characters from the game but were more a loose adaptation led by an original character.
