There is a lot for players to do in the Resident Evil 4 remake -- even more than there was in the original version of the game. However, it isn't always just the high-stakes action or bone-chilling scares that the series is known for. Sometimes, the game will give the player a short moment to catch their breath from the action by throwing a puzzle at them instead.

Any of these puzzles have the potential to leave the players scratching their heads, though one that seems to stand out for many as particularly challenging comes during Chapter 7 after the player reached the Castle's Treasury Room. There, players will find a mandatory puzzle with multiple steps to progress forward. For those players who need a bit of extra help, here's a quick rundown of how to complete the Treasury Swords Puzzle.

Upon entering the Treasury, players will be able to see a barred door with four large, stone murals surrounding it. This door is the one that players will be working to open in this room, and the murals themselves hold the key to getting through this puzzle, in more ways than one. The murals tell the story of a knight, from being a young adventurer to being knighted to fighting in battle, and finally, passing away. Each of these murals also contains an empty space for a sword, and by placing each of the four swords into the correct murals, the door will open.

Three of these swords can be found already resting within the murals, though not in their correct places. The fourth sword, however, is locked behind a gate in the room with the symbols of three animals on the front of it -- a deer, a hawk, and a snake. In order to open this Animal Gate, players will need to look immediately to the left of the gate to see a chain that Leon can pull. Doing so sounds a loud gong, and then lights up the symbol of the Deer.

From there, look through the bars of the gate to see two more gongs with the symbols of the other two animals, and shoot them to set them off. Once all three gongs have been sounded, and all three animal symbols have been lit up, the Animal Gate will open and the player can retrieve the Bloodied Sword from within.

With the Bloodied Sword now in Leon's inventory, the player will need to return to the stone murals and retrieve the other three swords from their slots so that they can now put all four in the correct order. Starting from the left, the first mural of the knight as a young adventurer requires the Iron Sword. Next, the mural of him during his Knighthood Ceremony requires the Golden Sword. The third mural, which depicts the knight in battle, requires the Bloodied Sword. Finally, the fourth mural, depicting the knight's grave, requires the Rusty Sword. Once all four swords are in their correct positions, the gate will open and the player can continue along past the Treasury to complete the rest of the game.
