The following contains spoilers for Resident Alien Season 2, Episode 15, "Best of Enemies," which debuted Wednesday, Sept. 21 on SyFy.

Resident Alien has changed the way Harry viewed the alien baby througout Season 2. He initially thought it was nothing more than a vessel from his buddy Goliath that held information about the invading Grey aliens. Many viewers assumed Harry's feelings would change when he discovered Goliath was a time-traveling version of himself, which also meant the baby was his biological child.

At first, Harry still kept up his cold demeanor toward the child. This was the same issue he'd had with other characters like Asta, who took his messing with her mind as proof that other people didn't matter to him. Luckily, Season 2, Episode 15, "Best of Enemies" finally got Harry to shift his mindset -- and its parent/child journey might have felt familiar to Star Wars fans.

Viewers of The Mandalorian embraced how Din Djarin grew to love Grogu of the course of the series and accepted the baby as an adoptive son. While Grogu started off as the mere subject of a contract, he knew the baby was special and a victim of circumstance in a war he never asked to be part of. Din fought tooth and nail to save Grogu and then protect him. The love between them was evident when Grogu returned from Jedi training and chose to go on more swashbuckling adventures with Din.

Harry cut a similarly endearing figure in "Best of Enemies" when he realized that he and alien tracker Peter Bach were on the same page. Bach wondered if the military base that held Harry's kid could also be the location of his son Robert, who had been abducted years earlier. The two rivals put aside their differences and partnered up for a Trojan horse plan, with Bach pretending to hold Harry as a hostage. That allowed Harry to rescue the alien baby -- and he set an example by not killing General McCallister.

That choice reiterated that he sensed she wasn't as evil as he originally assumed, and proved he'd found more compassion and empathy. However, Resident Alien made the subsequent escape quite violent. Harry ended up mind-controlling some inmates in the process, with the alien baby laughing and smiling throughout the chaos, just like Grogu seemed immune to all the chaos around him.

The episode also unfortunately included Bach's death when he sacrificed himself to save Robert. But rather than sulk over the tragedy as he usually would, Harry was focused on ushering Robert and the baby alien away in a van. The baby left having stolen a silver alien ball that McCallister was studying, playing with it and enjoying life. That moment was similar to how Grogu loved his silver ball while on Din's ship, with Harry's smile evoking the joy that Din felt knowing his boy was safe.

Harry's voice-over admitted he understood love, especially following Bach's sacrifice as a parent. This promises a unique dynamic in the remainder of Resident Alien Season 2 as he embraces parenthood. He's been on a mission like Din Djarin -- to protect a young alien from enemies and hunters, whether it's the military or the Greys. However, he's now approaching it as a caring father.
