WARNING: The following contains spoilers for Resident Alien, Season 2, Episode 4, "Radio Harry," which aired Feb. 16 on Syfy.

While Harry Vanderspiegle has surprisingly been effective in concealing his true, extraterrestrial identity from the general public, the true nature of his otherworldly presence on Earth has not gone unnoticed by powerful figures determined to bring him in at any cost. By the end of Resident Alien Season 1, Harry appeared to elude the American military dispatched to the small town of Patience, Colorado where he had taken refuge, blasting off into space after recovering his spaceship. However, with Harry back down to Earth in Resident Alien Season 2, the military is still hot on his tail, with General McCallister returning to head the search for the wayward alien.

McCallister headed the top-secret military operation that scoured Colorado for Harry as part of a clandestine branch of the government tasked with monitoring alien activity. McCallister employed a sociopathic soldier named Lisa Casper, who eagerly murdered anyone that stumbled across the truth about Harry crashing to Earth, with Lisa leading the investigation that resulted in McCallister gaining custody of Harry's ship. McCallister and Casper were outmaneuvered by Harry, who flew away while Casper mistakenly assumed Patience's new town doctor Ethan Stone was the disguised extraterrestrial, taking him into McCallister's custody. And though McCallister may not have crossed paths with Harry again just yet, she has been continuing her search for aliens with more violent fervor than ever.

Not only does McCallister still have Doctor Stone in custody, but she has detained dozens of other individuals suspected of being an alien or linked to extraterrestrial activity. Each of the detainees are kept in private cells where they are routinely interrogated by her troops. However, McCallister continues to have a special interest in Stone, going as far as to wine and dine him before abruptly stabbing him in the hand, believing the sudden pain and shock will cause him to drop his human façade. With Stone obviously not an alien, a disappointed McCallister leaves her bleeding prisoner behind as she carries on with her search for aliens hiding on Earth.

While meeting with Stone over dinner, McCallister indicates that the existence of aliens may have been linked to her father committing suicide, putting her on the obsessive mission she has undertaken on behalf of the government. McCallister had kept her motivations and backstory under wraps throughout Resident Alien Season 1 but this admission to Stone underscores a very personal reason why the decorated general hates extraterrestrials so much. And with Harry trying to contact his people on the other side of the cosmos to prevent them from attacking Earth, this may result in McCallister learning her target is back on the planet.

Poor Ethan Stone just happened to be in the town of Patience at the wrong time, right when General McCallister commanded the full might of her forces to track down the hiding Harry. This has led him to be imprisoned by the military for six months and, more disturbingly, Stone is not alone among McCallister's growing number of detainees. It was an alien that presumably cost McCallister everything growing up, and, years later, she still holds a grudge. Harry may have been able to slip through her fingers once, but the obsessive general is sure not to let this happen again if given the opportunity.

Created by Chris Sheridan, Resident Alien Season 2 airs Wednesdays at 9pm ET/PT on Syfy.
