The first season of Amazon Prime Video's epic fantasy series The Wheel of Time has reportedly completed principal photography.

On Friday, several social media posts from the show's crew members were seen referencing a wrap on Season 1, as reported by WoTSeries.com. Although these posts were not made publicly, the information appears to be accurate, and tracks with The Wheel of Time's filming schedule, which began in 2019 and was repeatedly delayed by the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. There may also be some reshoots for the show to complete before its wrap is officially announced.

There has also been some speculation on the release date for the series, based on a publication schedule for a new edition of The Wheel of Time books that inspired the show. According to WoTSeries.com, a major publisher plans for an edition of the book series to head to print at the end of this year, between late November and late December. As publishers often time these editions to coincide with the release of their adaptations, this may suggest a similar window for the show's premiere.

Further news may come on "Wheel of Time Wednesday," a pattern established by the show's official social media accounts.

While an official trailer has not yet been released, Amazon has created a number of production videos with glimpses of footage from The Wheel of Time, providing fans with a look behind the scenes and introductions to some of the major players and items that will show up on screen when the series premieres.
