Come next full moon, Marvel Studios may have a new supernatural hero on its hands.

Geeks WorldWide reports the studio is currently looking to introduce Jack Russell, aka Werewolf by Night, to the Marvel Cinematic Universe in the near future. The lycanthropic anti-hero was first introduced in 1972's Marvel Spotlight #2, and is a descendant of a line of werewolves. Unlike the classic versions of the creature, Werewolf by Night can transform into his demonic counterpart at any time, but automatically becomes one at a full moon.

It is unclear exactly how and when Werewolf by Night will be introduced into the MCU, but the most likely options are either Marvel Studios newly-revealed Moon Night series or the previously-announced Blade film.

Moon Knight made his debut in Werewolf by Night #32, and the two have been connected ever since. Meanwhile, the werewolf also has history with both Blade and Dracula. So, seeing him appear opposite Mahershala Ali's Daywalker would not be a surprise either. There is also always the possibility that the character could get his own movie or TV series, should the report of him joining the MCU in the first place prove true.
