As casting begins on Matt Reeves' The Batman, Warner Bros. might be looking at a Fast and the Furious franchise star for the role of Selina Kyle/Catwoman.

According to GWW, Warner Bros. is looking at Vanessa Kirby for the role. The outlet notes talks haven't yet begun, at least not formally, and that more names are likely to pop up sooner rather than later. Kirby is known for her roles in The CrownMission: Impossible - Fallout and in Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw, in which she plays Deckard Shaw's sister Hattie.

At this time, little is known about The Batman. However, a report in March suggested the movie might take place in the '90s, with earlier rumors indicating Penguin will serve as the primary villain. Twilight's Robert Pattinson will replace Ben Affleck and take on the mantle of the Dark Knight. Although it's not officially confirmed Catwoman is in the film, rumors about her involvement started popping up in May.

Batman's love interest in the comics, Catwoman has appeared in several movies. She was played by Michelle Pfeiffer in Batman Returns, Anne Hathaway in The Dark Knight Rises and Halle Berry in an eponymous film centered on the character.
