Pre-production is moving forward on Sony's big-screen adaptation of the popular Uncharted video game franchise, and a new casting shortlist has reportedly surfaced online.

As the adaptation prepares to begin principal photography this July, reports indicate the studio is actively considering actors to portray Victor "Sully" Sullivan, the mentor-figure to the franchise's main protagonist Nathan Drake. According to That Hashtag Show, the studio's reported shortlist for the role includes Woody Harrelson, Chris Hemsworth, Matthew McConaughey and Chris Pine.

The character description for the film describes the adaptation's incarnation of Sully as a ruggedly handsome man in his 40s. While younger than the video game's depiction of the character, the adjusted age certainly lines up with Drake being portrayed by 22-year old Tom Holland.

Details on the adaptation are still being kept under wraps but is expected to be a loose adaptation of the 2007 original PlayStation 3 game Uncharted: Drake's Fortune. Sully is portrayed as a surrogate father-figure to Nathan Drake, raising him from a small-time pickpocket to an adventurous treasure hunter.
