Mark Ruffalo, who played Bruce Banner/Hulk in "Avengers" and "Avengers: Age of Ultron," will allegedly appear in "Thor: Ragnarok." According to JoBlo, the movie will feature a "distant planet" that is "not Asgard and not Earth." Further, the report says Ruffalo will join Chris Hemsworth, Jaimie Alexander and Tom Hiddleston, the latter of which recently said he has not been contacted by Marvel.

At the end of "Avengers: Age of Ultron," Hulk stole the Stark stealth jet Ultron had hijacked and willfully ignored Black Widow's attempt to bring him back in. Due to the technology on the jet, even S.H.I.E.L.D. was not able to track his location. This scene added fuel to rumors that Marvel intended to send the character on a "Planet Hulk"-like adventure. While the report doesn't confirm or deny these rumors, the move may indeed draw influence from the storyline, which found Hulk banished to a distant planet, where he subsequently thrived.

Directed by Taika Waititi and starring Hemsworth, "Thor: Ragnarok" is scheduled to open on July 28, 2017.
