As network TV zeroes in on the new pilots it will call to series this Fall and beyond, things are looking dicey for a pair of Marvel Cinematic Universe shows.

The Hollywood Reporter has a new feature up on the prospects for several pilots filmed this year, and the story cast doubt on the odds for the "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." spinoff "Marvel's Most Wanted" and the fan favorite "Agent Carter." Amidst talk of a near lock for actress Hayley Atwell's new procedural "Conviction," the trade reports that the odds that Atwell's odds at filming both series was suspect -especially considering ABC's hopes for "Conviction." Meanwhile, network hopes for the series set to star Adrianne Palicki and Nick Blood as their "AoS" agents Bobbi Morse and Lance Hunter have cooled. It doesn't mean the series is done for sure, but it's not the lock some once thought it would be.

Things aren't all bad for comics on the small screen, however. The trade notes that Archie Comics-inspired CW series "Riverdale" was a near certainty to be picked up as it involves "Arrow" and "The Flash" super producer Greg Berlanti. Meanwhile, current series like "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.," "The Flash" and "Arrow" have already been renewed for another year.
