Kang the Conqueror could be making his way to the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

According to The Illuminerdi, the time-traveling villain is rumored to appear in Disney+ upcoming series Loki. The series is expected to deal with time travel and introduce the Time Variance Authority, an organization that Kang was a member of in the comics.

The report comes just a few days after it was announced that Doctor Who alum Gugu Mbatha-Raw has signed on to appear in the series. She would join Owen Wilson, Sophia Di Martino and Angelica Ross, all of whom are rumored to be starring in the series as well. Marvel has not commented on any casting reports.

Created by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby, Kang the Conqueror first appeared in 1964’s The Avengers #8. The villain has the ability travel through time and has faced off against the Avengers, Fantastic Four and the Young Avengers.

Loki, starring Tom Hiddleston, is set to hit Disney+ sometime in spring 2021. Rick & Morty writer Michael Waldron will write the series and be billed as creator, with Sex Education's Kate Herron directing all the episodes.
