REPORT: Gunn's Suicide Squad Features Monstrous, Female Alien Character

James Gunn's The Suicide Squad, which is said to be a "total reboot," might be getting an alien character.

According to Revenge of the Fans, Warner Bros. is seeking "a monstrous femme fatale. A creature. A surly, muscular alien woman. The kind of character that’ll require the heavy use of prosthetics. Like Killer Croc in David Ayer’s Suicide Squad in 2016." The post goes on to describe the character as "Queens tough."

At this time, it's not totally clear who the character might correspond to in the comics, though the choice would make sense for Gunn, whose Guardians of the Galaxy series leans heavy into the cosmic. This report is also unconfirmed, so it's possible that plans might change or that this might be later debunked by official sources.

Viola Davis is reportedly set to reprise her role as Amanda Waller, and the movie will feature Margot Robbie's Harley Quinn in some capacity. Deadshot is also set to return, though Will Smith will not play the character. Instead, actor Idris Elba is being eyed for the role. Jai Courtney has also announced he'll reprise his role as Captain Boomerang. The movie will reportedly also feature Ratcatcher, King Shark, Polka-Dot Man and Peacemaker.
