It sounds like the second season of Marvel's Iron Fist may have found itself a new villain in Lady Gorgon.

That Hashtag Show has reported that the season will begin shooting this month with a new showrunner, Raven Metzner, who previously worked on Fox's Sleepy Hollow. THS' character breakdown has pegged down the potential new threat to Danny Rand, and she is deadly. According to the report, the villain guessed to be Lady Gorgon is a woman named Tonya Parker. A series regular, the character is described as "a chameleon adapt at playing roles, she inhabits the part that best fits the mission." She's also said to be an expert covert operative who has carried out several high level missions in the past.

Lady Gorgon first appeared in Marvel Comics' Punisher: War Journal and was hired to kill Frank Castle. Considering she's affiliated with The Hand in the comics, it makes sense that she'd show up to fight Danny, considering K'un L'un and the Hand are sworn enemies. And given that Danny played a big role in severely wounding The Hand in Defenders, she may be up for some payback. Of course, as THS points out Tanya could be a different character and possibly not a villain at all, so until official news comes out, take this with every necessary grain of salt.

Starring Finn Jones, Jessica Henwick, Tom Pelphrey, Jessica Stroup, Sacha Dhawan, Simone Missick and more, Iron Fist Season 2 does not yet have a release date.
