Vicki Vale is headed to "Gotham." TVLine has reportedly confirmed that the show is seeking to add the character in a recurring role for Season 3. According to their earlier report, the role is described as "an ambitious young journalist" in her late 20s.

In the comics, Vicki is a reporter for the Gotham Gazette and the on-again, off-again love interest of Bruce Wayne/Batman. Of course, the show seems to be taking the character in a different direction; after all, the character description calls for someone much older than David Mazouz's Bruce Wayne, who is no older than 15-years-old in the series.

This won't be the first time the character made her way on screen. Kim Basinger played Vicki Vale opposite Michael Keaton in 1989's "Batman." The character also appeared in "Batman: The Brave and the Bold" and "Batman: Year One" as well as the video games "DC Universe Online" and "Batman: Arkham City."

In addition to Vicki Vale, the show is also looking to cast a villain who "learns people's secrets and manipulates them to do his bidding" and a young villainess "who uses her sexuality to entrap men."

"Gotham" will return to Fox for its third season this fall.
