New streaming service Quibi has announced that is reviving classic Comedy Central series Reno 911! for a seventh season.

The critically-acclaimed show ran for six seasons and a feature ilm, but its future was murky until Quibi saved it from oblivion. Creators and stars Robert Ben Garant, Kerri Kenney-Silver and Thomas Lennon are all slated to return, with additional casting still in the works.

Sarah Babineau and Jonas Larsen, Comedy Central’s Co-Heads of Original Content told Deadline of the reboot, "We are very excited to partner with Ben, Kerri and Tom, three of the most gifted multi-hyphenates in comedy, to bring more of their iconic series Reno 911! to the world. Fans demanded this for a long time and Comedy Central Productions and Quibi are thrilled to help answer that kind of 911 call."

The comedy, which originally starred Niecy Nash, Cedric Yarbrough and Wendy McClendon-Covey among others, was a mockumentary about the police force of Reno, Nevada. It has garnered quite the cult following, and its return signals a real hail Mary for the series' fandom. Doug Herzog from the streaming service, Quibi, endorses the decision, proclaiming, "“I couldn’t say it better than Sarah and Jonas, and I for one will sleep soundly knowing Reno 911! is back on the beat keeping our streets safe once again.”

All six seasons of Reno 911 are available to stream on Amazon ahead of shooting of season seven, which hasn't started shooting yet.
