"Captain America: Civil War" star Jeremy Renner Tweeted about his updated Hawkeye outfit and his new friend Ant-Man, confirming the authenticity of concept art released earlier today which shows both the lineups of the two teams as well as an image of them charging into battle against each other.

Got new threads. And I brought a friend. #antman #hawkeye #civilwar #costume #captainamerica #avengers pic.twitter.com/HBY5xSCxEn- Jeremy Renner (@Renner4Real) August 27, 2015

Hawkeye's former costume borrowed heavily from Marvel Comics' Ultimate Universe for inspiration. This new costume, which features brighter purple accents, seems to wink more at the character's traditional pink and purple outfit from the Main Marvel Universe. Ant-Man's position could also be a nod to the way the two characters have teamed up in the past, with Hawkeye firing an arrow with Ant-Man aboard.

The aforementioned pieces of concept art do not totally contradict a rumor that circulated earlier this month regarding the film's alliances, although the art does have a few notable differences. Scarlet Witch, who was rumored to be on Captain America's side, is not included in either piece of art. Sharon Carter has been added to Cap's side after not being part of the earlier rumor. You can also see what appears to be a birdlike drone flying overhead; previous rumors have stated that Falcon's bird partner Redwing would be worked into the film in that manner.

Starring Chris Evans, Robert Downey Jr. and Scarlett Johansson, "Captain America: Civil War" is scheduled to open on May 6, 2016.
