Relive Flash's Suicide Squad Cameo

Warner Bros. may have only released three films in their shared DC cinematic universe, and they've worked hard to introduce as many characters as possible in those outings. While "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" introduced many future members of the Justice League, "Suicide Squad" debuted a bunch of the film universe's villains. Not only that, but Ben Affleck's Batman and Ezra Miller's Flash popped in for quick cameos, thus giving fans another glimpse at their takes on the characters.

Flash's "Suicide Squad" cameo may have been short, but it delivered on something fans of the speedster have been waiting for: a big screen showdown between Flash and Captain Boomerang. Now, ahead of "Suicide Squad's" release on Digital HD and Blu-ray, you can relive Ezra Miller's appearance courtesy of the Warner Bros. informational web-series "Squadtroductions." This quick featurette dives in deep into Digger Harkness' comic book origins and details how he became the criminal known as Captain Boomerang. It also replays that much talked about Flash cameo, which marks Ezra Miller's second appearance as the hero following a few brief scenes in "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice." You can check out the video, which also incorporates DC comic book art, below.

Ezra Miller's Flash will next be seen in "Justice League," which arrives on November 17, 2017. The Flash solo film recently hit a speed bump when it lost director Rick Famuyiwa. Ezra Miller has commented on the departure of Famuyiwa and revealed which personality traits he believes is essential for the next "Flash" director to possess.

“I think that the most important quality is the open heart,” said Miller. “I think that The Flash has to be a story that is heartfelt. Because I think that’s where the lightning really is.”

“The Flash” is currently slated to arrive in theaters on March 16, 2018, although it’s not yet known if that date will be pushed back following the departure of Famuyiwa. While it’s not been clarified if the film’s release date is being pushed back or not, it’s been reported that it will shoot in fall 2017 as opposed to early 2017.

Directed by David Ayer and starring Will Smith, Margot Robbie, Jared Leto, Viola Davis, Jai Courtney and Joel Kinnaman, "Suicide Squad" will arrive on Digital HD on November 15 and Blu-ray on December 13.
