Relativity Media plans to finance, produce and distribute a film based on Anomaly, the multi-platform interactive comic created by attorney Skip Brittenham and writer/artist Brian Haberlin. According to Deadline, the script will be penned by Now You See Me screenwriter Edward Ricourt.

Set in a distant future where all the corporations, nations and technologies of Earth have merged into the Conglomerate, Anomaly centers on a disgraced former officer from the elite Enforcer Corps who's given a chance at redemption by joining a first-contact mission to a newly discovered planet. Unfortunately, the mission turns out to be a trap, and the crew is left stranded with all of its technology destroyed.

Joe Roth will produce the Anomaly adaptation with Relativity’s Ryan Kavanaugh and Tucker Tooley.
