Red Hood Teams Up With the Outsiders in This Week’s New DC Specials

Red Hood is teaming up with the Outsiders during a week of special DC Comics issues.

Out on Tuesday is Batman: Legends of Gotham #1, a one-shot written by Andy Diggle and illustrated by Karl Mostert. The book is set to take place around the events of DC's Lazarus Planet event, in which a mystical storm is creating new superhumans across the globe. While Batman is away facing this crisis, his dangerous secrets are being auctioned off to villains, so it is up to Red Hood and the Outsiders to put aside their differences and keep this information from falling into the wrong hands.

DC is also celebrating both Black History Month and Valentine's Day with two separate anthology one-shots. With regard the former, DC Power: A Celebration #1 will include stories by various Black creators spotlighting several Black characters from the DC Universe, such as Cyborg, Vixen, Kid Flash and more. For the latter, DC's Harley Quinn Romances #1 will contain eight stories of love and romance, set to feature the clown princess, Power Girl and more.

Aside from the three issues mentioned already, there are only two other books on sale this week. The Flash: One-Minute War Special #1 will give readers of The Flash ongoing series more insight into the Speed Force-powered alien race threatening the planet, while Lazarus Planet: Legends Reborn #1 is set to tell more stories during the Lazarus Storm, specifically focusing on heroes like Raven, Nightwing and Firestorm.
