Artwork for a new project, titled Red Dead Redemption: The Outlaws Collection, recently began circulating around the internet. One journalist has made it evident that the images are likely fake.Kotaku editor Zack Zweizen pointed out several flaws in what appears to be photoshop work, almost conclusively proving that the images were faked by someone using easily accessible PNG images. This comes after screenshots were released, seemingly showing an Amazon listing for a Red Dead Redemption remaster.RELATED: Red Dead Redemption II Needs Single-Player DLC

Red Dead Redemption was released in 2010 to widespread acclaim from critics and gamers alike. The success of the Red Dead Revolver successor led developer Rockstar Games to release a sequel in 2018. Red Dead Redemption II is set in 1899, years before the events of its predecessor, and centers on Arthur Morgan, a fellow outlaw and friend to John Marston. Morgan is introduced as Dutch Van der Linde's right-hand man, who helps to take care of the gang and performs a number of jobs to ensure their survival and collective wealth. After contracting tuberculosis from a victim, Morgan is forced to face his demons and -- depending on player choices -- commit to being a gunslinger or searching for redemption.

There is some demand among fans for a remaster of Red Dead Redemption, as the game was released for the PS3 and Xbox 360 and is not currently available on PS4 or Xbox One. However, Rockstar Games has not announced any plans for a remaster.
