Netflix's new trailer for Season 2 of Studio Graphinica's hit series, Record of Ragnarök, gives fans a glimpse of what exciting matchups await them in the upcoming episodes.Released on the Netflix Anime YouTube channel, this trailer introduces several of the new fighters that will represent Godkind and Humanity in the next series of all-out battles, highlighting iconic figures like Jack the Ripper, Hercules and Shiva. A key visual also released alongside the trailer featuring these characters. The new season will be divided into two parts, with Part 1, consisting of episodes 1-10, launching on Netflix on Jan. 26. An All-Star Cast Voices Record of Ragnarök

The new trailer also highlights many of the prominent voice actors involved with the new season. Tomokazu Sugita (Food Wars!, Gintama) voices Jack the Ripper, while Katsuyuki Konishi (Golden Kamuy, Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba) voices the Greek God, Hercules. Subaru Kimura (Doraemon, Assassination Classroom) plays Tameemon Raiden, a famous Japanese sumo wrestler. Tatsuhisa Suzuki (The Seven Deadly Sins, Free! Eternal Summer) plays the Hindu God, Shiva, and Yuichi Nakamura (Jujutsu Kaisen, My Hero Academia) plays Buddha. Miyuki Sawashiro is reprising her role as the Valkyrie, Brunhilde.

Based on the Record of Ragnarök manga, written by Takumi Fukui and Shinya Umemura with illustrations by Ajichika, the anime of the same name takes place in a world where the Gods assemble at a gathering called the "Gods' Council" every 1000 years to decide if humanity should be either spared or destroyed. When the Gods finally decide that humanity's time has come, a Valkyrie named Brunhilde intervenes, requesting that humanity be allowed to prove its worth by facing the Gods in a tournament. Thus, the "Battle of Ragnarök" commences, pitting thirteen humans against thirteen Gods in a high-stakes fight for humanity's future.

While Graphinica produced Record of Ragnarök's first season, the studio is teaming up with Yumeta Company for Season 2. Masao Okubo, the director of Season 1, is returning to direct Season 2. Yuka Yamada (Tokyo Mew Mew New) is working on the series' Composition alongside returning composition writer Kazuyuki Fudeyasu (That Time I Got Reincarnated As a Slime.) Masaki Sato (Initial D: Fifth Stage) is once again serving as the season's Character Designer, and Yasuharu Takanashi (Fairy Tail, Boruto: Naruto Next Generations) is returning to create the music.

Part 1 of Record of Ragnarök II premieres Jan. 26 on Netflix. The manga is available in English from VIZ Media.
