Rebel Wilson reveals she broke one very specific rule at Disneyland and faced a temporary ban from the park as a consequence.

The Australian actor described the situation during her appearance on The Daily Show with Hasan Minhaj. Wilson received a 30-day ban from the park for taking a photo in a forbidden area. "I did get banned from Disneyland for 30 days because I took a photo inside a secret bathroom, which is illegal, at Disneyland," she said before providing a friendlier context than one would imagine. "I got officially banned for 30 days. They called me up and said, 'Rebel what 30 days did you not want to come to Disneyland because you’re away filming a movie or something?' And I was like, 'Oh, well, June would be fine.'"

Rebel Wilson's Disneyland Ban

Wilson didn't explain specifics about her ban or the nature of a "secret bathroom." However, given the details she did provide, one could deduce the incident took place at Club 33. An exclusive venue located within New Orleans Square at Disneyland, Club 33 has long waiting lists and high prices. There are some photos allowed in the restaurant, but with limits. There is no videotaping allowed, and the park explicitly bans photos in the club's bathrooms. This rule is likely meant to protect the privacy of the venue's exclusive patrons.

Wilson also told the host about "Disneyland gangs," which are roving hordes of park guests in matching vests who have their own elaborate initiation rituals. She claimed that one of these involves stealing Snow White's apple off of her ride, and this has happened enough times that the park had to remove the physical apple altogether. However, Wilson's account of the story was clearly playful, and she coyly said not to ask her how she knows this information.

Indeed, Wilson evidently cares a lot about Disneyland, as it was her preferred location to propose to her partner Ramona Agruma. She worked with the park staff to ensure there would be a special roped-off section where she could pop the question. The Pitch Perfect star even called Disney CEO Bob Iger to get his permission for the event.

There are many new attractions coming to the Disneyland resort, including a Captain America musical and a retheme of the classic Splash Mountain ride inspired by the Princess and the Frog animated film. While there aren't many details about it now, Bob Iger also teased the arrival of a new "Avatar experience."

Rebel Wilson is mostly known for her comedic roles. Last year she starred in Senior Year, a comedy in which a woman wakes up from a decades-long coma and returns to high school to finish her diploma. However, last year Wilson also made her dramatic debut with The Almond and the Seahorse. The movie follows two couples struggling to cope with the aftermath of traumatic brain injuries resulting in anterograde amnesia. This film has yet to receive a wide release but was released in select theaters.
