More recently, another woman has entered the picture. That woman is none other than the White Queen, Emma Fost. A former member of the villainous Hellfire Club, Frost has since gone on to not only join, but also become a leader of the X-Men. Scott has felt romantic feelings for both of these mutant women. Here are 5 reasons that Jean Grey is perfect for Cyclops, and 5 Emma Frost is his ideal.

10 Jean Grey: Emma Frost Can't Be Trusted

As a former member of the Hellfire Club, Emma Frost truly cannot be trusted. The Hellfire Club is one of the X-Men's main enemies. Because of this, the two mutant groups have had many a hardened battle over the last several years. Emma Frost played a key role in helping the Hellfire Club during much of that time. She was even a high ranking member of the secret society's inner circle.

Given the mysterious nature of this mutant secret society, there is much about the Hellfire Club that remains to be seen. They could easily send members to infiltrate the X-Men as undercover agents. It wouldn't be too much of a stretch to say that Emma Frost could still be working for them.

9 Emma Frost: The Phoenix Force

As perhaps the most powerful cosmic force in the entire universe, the Phoenix Force many more problems than it does solutions. Jean Grey's close connection with the entity, for example, has caused untold damage to the X-Men both physically and emotionally.

If Cyclops were to stay with Jean Grey, it is only a matter of time before the Phoenix Force takes hold of her again. It seems to have an obsession with her and always returns. Emma Frost has, in fact, possessed the Phoenix Force as well, but the odds of it returning to her are much slimmer.

8 Jean Grey: Emma Is a Creep

Emma Frost simply has a bad vibe about her. The creepy demeanor that always followed her during the Hellfire Club days remained with her even after she reformed and joined the X-Men. It always seems like she's up to something. That's probably because most of the time she actually is.

Jean Grey is a much more approachable, sympathetic girl that you'd love to be around. While Emma dresses in a way that certainly adds a bit more sex appeal, that doesn't change the fact that she gives off some really bad vibes.

After the X-Men split up, two rival factions were formed. The more peacekeeping, traditionally-minded X-Men led by Wolverine decided to honor the legacy of Professor X. A more radical, Magneto-inspired faction was led by Scott Summers also known as Cyclops.

Much like Cyclops, Emma Frost had once been a radical mutant leader during her time with the Hellfire Club. After he split off from the X-Men, Frost decided to join Cyclops and stayed by his side at all times.

Jean and Scott fell in love with each other very early on in their lives. As teenagers in the Xavier School For Gifted Youngsters, their relationship with one another was the very first romantic experience Scott had ever had up until that point.

1 Emma Frost: Stole Scott From Jean

Scott had been with Jean for decades. Despite this long, passionate history, he decided to cheat on her with Emma Frost. The fact that Emma seduced Scott away from Jean goes to show that the two were more compatible with one another. Or at least that Scott has issues with commitment.

That said, Emma and Scott have since proven to be faithful to one another. His relationship with Jean ended in failure. Perhaps they never really were right for one another after all.
