The Resident Evil 3 demo is here, and this preview comes with its own unique side quest: doll collection. Some of these dolls are obvious, some just cleverly hidden, but finding the last few can be downright labyrinthine.

If you're struggling to locate all 20 Mr. Charlie dolls (or you're just wondering what you'll get for your efforts), here's how to find them.

The first 17 dolls can and should each be collected before you activate Nemesis, so make sure you don't touch the fire hose until you're ready for him. You can find the first right after the first cutscene. Make a left out and head to the back of the train car. The first doll is located on the opposite side of the tracks to the left of a stone pillar. As you continue, but before you leave under the metal shutters, the second doll can be found on the table in the middle of the room. After you duck under the metal shutters, head onto the street and to the right. You'll find the third doll in the back of the ambulance.

When facing Moon's Donuts, turn 180 degrees and find the fourth doll hiding on the left side of the stairs. Just before you kick down the ladder, look behind you to find the fifth doll sitting atop some electrical boxes. Once you scale the ladder, turn around towards where you just came from and to the left. The sixth doll is sitting on the hood of the flaming police car. Then, head back to Moon's Donuts. You'll find the seventh doll hiding in the corner to the right of the microwave inside.

The eighth doll is on the ground in the alleyway locked behind a chain-link fence. Find the spot by looking for the briefcase open on a small table and checking the wall to the left. The ninth doll can be found inside Redstone Pharmacy, towards the back, sitting in plain sight on the shelf. Outside and up the stairs opposite the pharmacy is where you can collect a double. The tenth doll is in the rafters under the above train tracks and the eleventh doll is visible to the left, across the street, hiding on the roof of Moon's Donuts.

You'll find the twelfth doll in the room with the safe, sitting on the high metal shelves next to some cardboard ledger boxes. Lucky number thirteen can be located by heading to the supermarket that is chained shut, located near Toy Uncle. Cut the chain using the bolt cutters, head inside and find the doll sitting on the counter by the register.

The next few dolls are very tricky and several won't even spawn until certain secret actions are taken. Opposite the general store is a busted window that leads into Toy Uncle. You need to approach, look inside and zoom in on the poster on the left wall. Surprise! It's a Mr. Charlie poster. Keep zooming in on his mug for ten seconds. Then, as if by magic, the fourteenth doll will appear in front of the giant donut on Moon's roof.

The fifteenth doll is found by creating mag ammo and then revisiting Mikhail. To craft this, you need two high-grade gunpowder items which can be found in the pharmacy and in the general store. After crafting the ammo, make sure you visit Mikhail in the train car and listen to him talk trash about Carlos. Only then will the fifteenth doll spawn. It can be easily picked up near the "Cleaning In Progress" sign where you dropped the ladder down.

To access the sixteenth doll, you will need to accomplish at least 25 perfect dodges throughout the demo. Once you accomplish this, the doll can be found by enticing a zombie cop to fall out of his car. The car is parked behind Moon's Donuts by the chain-link fence, and the doll is in the driver's seat after he falls.

The seventeenth doll is the last one you can get before things start getting really crazy. You can find it towards the back of the Kite Bros building in the same room as you find the shotgun.

Once you have the fire hose, it's time to meet Nemesis. After grabbing it and running back through Moon's, you won't be able to free roam without this guy chasing you about, but triggering his presence is key to our true objective: getting the last three dolls.

The eighteenth bobble head can be found in the police car by the toy store, but like 16, you need to get the zombie driver to fall out of his seat. To do that, you need to down Nemesis three times. This means getting him to express pain, not just take a knee. Grenades and red barrels are your friends here.

After you use the fire hose to put out the flames in the alley, carefully creep to the right so you can get a line of sight around the corner and see the nineteenth doll sitting up high on top of a vent. Now back off because stepping too far down the alley ends the demo.

To get the final doll, turn around and head back towards Toy Uncle. There will be a lone zombie standing among three cars. Take him out from a distance to spawn the final doll, which will spawn inside the pharmacy where, previously, a zombie was laying by some toilet paper. The zombie has now moved to reveal your last doll.

On top of bragging rights, your reward for collecting all 20 Mr. Charlie Dolls is 100 Ambassador points. These nebulous Capcom points can be earned by participating in events (such as this Mr. Charlie Doll side quest) and also by advertising for Resident Evil on your personal blog or on social media. In exchange, the ambassador program promises to give fans the opportunity to participate in exclusive playtests, play in special events as well as other potential benefits. Although most of these other benefits have yet to be revealed, it seems like a fun program for Capcom superfans to see a little reward for their devotion.
