Ray Fisher Gets Ripped For Cyborg Role

Cyborg's already headed to the big screen -- why not make The CW his home as well?

Ray Fisher is pumped for his upcoming role as Cyborg in DC's "Justice League," in more ways than one.

A photo posted to his Instagram page on Friday shows the actor flexing in the weight room and showing just how buff he's gotten in preparation to play DC Comics' Victor Stone.

In the comics, Victor Stone is an avid athlete, so putting on the muscle was essential for Fisher to portray the role. After a devastating lab accident, Stone's father Silas Stone uses his advanced scientific knowledge (and a Mother Box) to graft cybernetic prosthetics onto Victor's injured body, granting him superhuman abilities, but disfiguring his appearance.

Audiences saw only a brief glimpse of Cyborg's origin in "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice." That will soon change, however, as Fisher reprises his role in "Justice League" and its sequel, and a solo "Cyborg" film due in 2020. He's also rumored to appear in the 2018 "Flash" movie.

Directed by Zack Snyder, "Justice League" also stars Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill, Gal Gadot, Ezra Miller and Jason Momoa. Opening Nov. 17, 2017, the film brings together the heroes to defend Earth from the threat of Steppenwolf and his army of Parademons.
