Following the poor performance of Justice League at the box office, Warner Bros. has been in a state of flux regarding the DC Extended Universe. While Aquaman, Shazam!, Wonder Woman 2 and an Elseworlds Joker story are out of the gates, movies such as the previously announced Flash solo film are yet to go into production. Another film that's seemingly stalled is the Cyborg solo flick, and star Ray Fisher has now revealed the potential high cost could be a deterring factor.

When asked if the standalone film is still in the Warner Bros. machine shop, Fisher, speaking at the Heroes & Villains FanFest in New Jersey, said, "I don't know. I can't comment on that specifically, because they don't tell me anything until the very last minute."

"There's a ton of people making those kind of decisions behind the scenes," he added. "And it would be a very, very costly movie to make because it is so CGI heavy with Cyborg, because I'm the only member of the League that's not in a practical costume. You're going to be looking at $200 million just to make it. So it's one of those things you have to take into consideration. It's a numbers game for some people at the end of the day."

Justice League's production cost was an estimated $300 million, with the return disappointing the studio at $675 million. Fisher, who debuted as Cyborg in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, seems to hint Warner Bros. is now adopting a risk-averse strategy moving forward for the sake of profitability, but he still remains hopeful he can get a solo outing done.

"If we keep making noise, it can happen," Fisher said. "It's about what the people want. And that's what people understand, that's what they recognize."

While we await word on his future on the big screen, fans can look forward to the other Victor Stone and his robotic antics on the DC Universe streaming service next year in Doom Patrol (with Joivan Wade cast in the role) and Titans.
