Everybody's favorite movie geek, Randy Meeks, is coming back from the dead for one more scare.

Devin Faraci at CHUD reports that actor Jamie Kennedy is in talks with the producers of Scream IV to reprise his role as Randy, the ill-fated horror guru who was stabbed to death towards the end of the second installment in the franchise.

The real question, of course, is how will a very dead Randy resurface? CHUD reports on a number of possibilities, including the idea that Kennedy could be playing himself instead of his deceased character. Personally, I had always hoped that Randy was secretly behind all of the slayings in the first place — as a horror movie expert, he would have had no trouble faking his own death and returning for a final scare when the timing was right. At the very least, it would have been more plausible than Noel from Felicity being the killer in Scream III.
