In the film, Johnson will play David Okoye, a primatologist who also happens to be best friends with an albino silverback gorilla named George. Thanks to an experimental serum, the rare primate grows to a massive size alongside some other creatures and goes on a path of destruction.

"Like with anything that powerful, you have to really be careful that you’re utilizing it wisely and not for the wrong reasons," Johnson explained. If these monsters are as big as they were in the original game, then he may be underselling it.
