As Rambo V: Last Blood enters post-production, star Sylvester Stallone has shared a new photo the iconic hero back in action.
In a post on his Instagram account, Stallone shared an image of John Rambo taking care with his bow and arrow at an unseen enemy, his trusty combat knife also seen at his belt.
"Death is coming your way and there's nothing in this world you can do to stop it," wrote Stallone, presumably quoting a line of dialogue directly from the sequel. The new film will reportedly involve the former special forces soldier and Vietnam War veteran traveling to Mexico to rescue a friend's daughter from cartels and human traffickers.
Stallone wrapped filming for his part in the film last week after principal photography began in Eastern Europe this past October. The fictional Green Beret has been portrayed by Stallone in all five films with his unsurpassed archery skills first seen in 1985's Rambo: First Blood Part II and all its subsequent sequels.
Directed by Adrian Grunberg (Get the Gringo), from a script written by Sylvester Stallone and Matt Cirulnick (Absentia), Rambo V: Last Blood features Stallone’s return to the iconic action hero he popularized in the 80s. It is currently scheduled for release sometime in fall 2019.
