With Rambo: Last Blood opening in theaters everywhere in five months, star and co-writer Sylvester Stallone has shared new photos from the upcoming sequel.
Posted on the actor's Instagram account, the photo reveals John Rambo surrounded by intimidating looking heavies. The ex-Green Beret is visibly determined but unfazed, even with the photos revealing that the villains are brandishing knives and guns against him.
The details of the sequel's plot are currently under wraps but will reportedly follow Rambo as he ventures into Mexico from his Arizona ranch to fight cartels and traffickers after a friend's daughter is kidnapped.
Expected to be Stallone's final appearance as the iconic action hero, the actor starred in 1982's First Blood, 1985's Rambo: First Blood Part II, 1988's Rambo III and 2008's Rambo as the no-nonsense Vietnam War veteran. Judging by these new photos, the villains are about to inadvertently start a war they wouldn't believe.
Directed by Adrian Grunberg (Get the Gringo), from a script written by Sylvester Stallone and Matt Cirulnick (Absentia), Rambo: Last Blood stars Stallone, Paz Vega, Sergio Peris-Mencheta and Yvette Monreal. It is scheduled to be released on Sept. 20 in theaters everywhere.
