With Rambo: Last Blood opening in less than five months, star and co-writer Sylvester Stallone has shared new photos from the upcoming sequel.

Posted on Stallone's Instagram account, the black and white photos tease the ex-special forces commando going south of the border to take on the cartel after a friend's daughter is kidnapped.

The upcoming film is expected to be Stallone's final appearance as John Rambo, after previously starring in 1982's First Blood, 1985's Rambo: First Blood Part II, 1988's Rambo III and 2008's Rambo as the Vietnam War veteran.

As with the previous installments, Stallone co-wrote the film's screenplay, which is set after Rambo retired to his family ranch in Arizona in the 2008 film. Judging by the newly released photos, war has found the no-nonsense commando yet again and, this time, much closer to home.
