Action movie star Dwayne Johnson has expressed his excitement for the upcoming Rambo: Last Blood, featuring Sylvester Stallone's final turn in the title role.

Stallone shared a behind-the-scenes clip from the eagerly anticipated sequel, walking the crew through a planned action sequence as he kills one enemy with a sawed-off shotgun before stabbing another through the head with a spear and preparing to lop off another's leg. In response, Johnson posted a comment to the Instagram video, quoting Stallone on-set and voicing his approval.

"'Drop the spear, dive and get ready to cut his leg off.' Fuck. Yes." wrote Johnson, followed by a series of emojis.

Stallone is one of the original American action movie icons, alongside Arnold Schwarzenegger, largely thanks to roles like John Rambo. Since then, Johnson has become an action star in his own right, leading a new generation of action heroes, informed by the explosion of the genre in the 1980s. Based on Johnson's reaction, he will likely be right there with audiences in September to see the last ride of John Rambo.
