WARNING: The following contains spoilers for the first three episodes of Raised by Wolves, available now on HBO Max.

When it comes to TV's most dangerous robots, there has been Cylons from Battlestar Galactica, Lore (aka evil Data) from Star Trek, the Terminators from The Sarah Connor Chronicles and Doctor Who's various killer bots Recently, though, it's been Westworld that's really kicked it up a notch with Dolores and her robot uprising.

Coincidentally, courtesy of HBO, viewers are now privy to the one robot who can lay claim to being the deadliest ever, and it comes in the form of Mother (Amanda Collin) from Ridley Scott's Raised by Wolves.

In the series, Mother's a Necromancer, built by the religious sect known as the Mithraic to destroy the Atheists. However, she's been reprogrammed by the believers of science and sent to Keppler-22B to help start a new colony of human kids after the planet got decimated. However, it's not until the Mithraic legion lands on the planet and attempt to kidnap her son, Campion, that her true destructive power is put on display. Once she has her eyes, per the Greek myth of Lamia, Mother goes into war machine-mode, being able to fly through the air like a god and shake off lasers.

Though, it's Mother's Sindel-esque shrieks that really do the damage, as she literally turns humans into puddles of blood. She can also shapeshift and alter her voice, which freaks Campion out when she mimics his dead sister, Spiria. However, it comes in handy when Mother imitates a soldier she beat down, Marcus, and uses his ship to infiltrate the Ark, Heaven. There, she goes on a rampage, slaughtering people with her screams before taking new kids back to Campion to replace his dead siblings. She shows no conscience at all, inflicting the fear of God into everyone.

Raised By Wolves Mother

Even her counterpart, Father, finds that out the hard way when she impales him. She couldn't stand him thinking Campion might be better off with humans, so she had to take drastic measures to ensure her son wouldn't be taken from her. No robot in Westworld was so multifaceted and adept at murder, but what they did have is composure. Mother's reprogramming seems to have shorted that, which is why Campion has now come to fear her.

He believes there's a monster inside Mother, which makes her question herself, as she can sense her old directive might still be alive. This paints a Jekyll and Hyde picture, made even worse when she was shown operating on Earth, razing cities, and later on, hunting the Mithraic on their new home as a floating overlord who would kill anyone that stands in her way of rebuilding society.

Created by Aaron Guzikowski and produced by Ridley Scott, Raised by Wolves stars Amanda Collin, Abubakar Salim, Winta McGrath, Niamh Algar, Jordan Loughran, Matias Varela, Felix Jamieson, Ethan Hazzard, Aasiya Shah, Ivy Wong and Travis Fimmel. New episodes arrive each Thursday on HBO Max.
