In addition to this animated feature, the team is still on track to make its live-action debut as part of the ever-expanding DC Films universe. In late October, director Doug Liman offered an update on the project, promising that his story will offer a unique take on superhero films while fitting within the framework of the DCEU.

The film will be released on Blu-ray and digital download in early 2017.
