A Quiet Place Sequel Is In Development at Paramount

John Krasinski-directed horror film A Quiet Place has earned universal critical acclaim since its release, so it should come as no surprise that Paramount Pictures is already developing a sequel.

According to Variety, chairman-CEO of Paramount Pictures Jim Gianopulos announced that a sequel to A Quiet Place is already in the works, though no further details were revealed. “We’re thrilled to say that we’re already working on the sequel to A Quiet Place,” Gianopulos revealed at CinemaCon.

A Quiet Place has proven to be a critical darling for Paramount Pictures and Gianopulos, who took on his position as chairman-CEO of the studio last year after departing 20th Century Fox. The film is currently sitting at a 95% rating on Rotten Tomatoes, based on 258 reviews with an average score of 8.2/10, indicating near-universal acclaim.

A Quiet Place is also proving to be a commercial success for the studio, earning $50 million during its domestic opening weekend. The film has currently grossed over $213 million worldwide since its theatrical debut.

In theaters now, A Quiet Place is co-written and directed by John Krasinski, who stars in the film alongside Emily Blunt, Noah Jupe, Millicent Simmonds and Cade Woodward.
