In a new post on his Instagram, "X-Men: Apocalypse" director Bryan Singer offered a behind-the-scenes glimpse at the making of Quicksilver's slow-motion special effect.

Quicksilver, played by Evan Peters, debuted in "X-Men: Days of Future Past," the last installment of the X-Men film franchise. Though he only appeared in a guest role, he stole the show and his slow-motion sequence made waves with audiences. Peters will reprise the role in "X-Men: Apocalypse" and Singer's latest photo reveals the green screen and wiring that goes into making Quicksilver seem so fast.
